Don Balon has revealed that neither Manchester United nor Tottenham Hotspur will manage to secure the signing of Gareth Bale, who now seems set for a move to Chelsea.
The Blues have emerged as the favorites to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid, as the club’s president looks to offload the Welshman and replace him with none other than Chelsea’s star winger Eden Hazard.
It is thought that neither of the two clubs would accept a money-only offer in the current, overinflated state of the transfer market and a swap deal looks far more likely at the moment.
Further, this would practically be a like-for-like swap, meaning that neither club would have to spend additional funds to find suitable replacements. However, given Bale’s recent injury record, Real Madrid will probably have to offer money as well, since a direct swap would hardly be a fair deal for Chelsea.
What do you think? Should Real Madrid and Chelsea finalize this deal and swap Bale and Hazard?
