Jose Mourinho has been impressed with Richarlison’s form since joining Watford at the start of the season and is now ready to meet the Hornets’ £40m evaluation of the forward, despite his inconsistent performances in the second part of the season, The Mirror reports.
Chelsea have been closely following the Brazilian since he arrived to the Premier League, but Mourinho has allegedly made it his mission to beat his former club to the signing of Richarlison.
However, Manchester United already have a plethora of options in the attack and if this move goes through, it most likely means that Anthony Martial will leave Old Trafford in the summer, as he searches for more playing time.
In any case, the Premier League duo might need to enter a bidding war for the talented Brazilian after all, as The Mirror reveals that Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco could also be willing to spend big on Richarlison.
What do you think? Should Manchester United really spend £40m on Richarlison or do they have more urgent problems in the squad?
