The well-informed Don Balon claims that the Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is looking to get rid of Paul Pogba and sign the Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.

Mourinho has reportedly grown tired of Pogba’s reluctance to follow instructions and his disappointing performances.

However, the only way that he would let Pogba leave is if he persuades Gareth Bale to move back to England and sign with the Red Devils, but considering Bale’s limited playing time at Santigao Bernabeu, that will hardly be a problem for the Portuguese manager.

Still, this move might signal the end of Anthony Martial’s career at Old Trafford, since the talented French winger has already expressed his concerns regarding his playing time. If the club decides to go through with the Bale deal, they will most likely lose Martial and be forced to find a quick replacement for Pogba in the heart of the midfield.

In that case, Mourinho could focus on signing Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio or Jorginho from Napoli, but it is thought that both of these deals would cost the club dearly.

Only time will tell how this transfer saga will end, but this looks set to be yet another interesting summer at Old Trafford.
