Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has emerged as a favorite for the Rangers job, despite his lack of experience, according to The Scottish Sun.

Gerrard was pictured at Ibrox last month, as he watched the Old Firm clash with Celtic, fuelling speculation regarding his potential candidacy for the vacant Rangers job.

The player-turned-manager has been coaching the Liverpool U18s since he retired and simultaneously worked as a pundit on BT Sports, but he has allegedly already held advanced talks with Dave King, the Rangers chairman about potentially taking over.

The Anfield icon will go head-to-head with his former manager Brendan Rodgers, who currently manages Rangers’ greatest rivals Celtic, in the Old Firm derby, if he decides to accept the Rangers job.

What do you think? Should Gerrard take over Rangers or continue to ply his trade in the youth divisions?
