Borussia Dortmund are looking for a new manager, after it became clear that Peter Stoger would not be offered a new contract at the Signal Iduna Park, and they have reportedly approached Andre Villas-Boas with an offer to become the new Dortmund manager, according to Goal.

Stoger’s contract expires in the summer and although he has steadied the ship after the catastrophe caused by Peter Bosz, he will not be offered new terms, as the Dortmund boardroom is left dissatisfied with the team’s style of play.

Therefore, Borussia Dortmund have started searching for potential replacements and they hope they will be able to persuade Nice’s Lucien Favre to take over in the summer, but they have also made contact with Villas-Boas, as they look to solve the managerial crisis as soon as possible.

Villas-Boas is out of job ever since he left Shanghai SIPG to enter the Dakar Rally, but he was quickly forced to retire from the competition after a tragic car crash. The Portuguese manager could now be looking for a way to get back to football with a new managerial position and Dortmund feel he could be the right man for their job.

What do you think? Should Dortmund sign Andre Villas-Boas?
