The Real Madrid manager insists La Liga is harder to win the Champions League, saying it’s tough to maintain consistency throughout the league season.
Zinedine Zidane has led Real Madrid to three consecutive Champions League finals and will have the opportunity to be come the first manager ever to win three consecutive Champions League trophies if his side manages to beat Liverpool in Kyiv. (Zidane is also the only manager to win two consecutive Champions League medals.)
However, during his three seasons at the helm of Real Madrid, the Frenchman has managed to win only one league title, which prompted him to say that La Liga is harder than the Champions League.
“It’s more difficult. I’ve always said that: it’s more difficult,” he said when asked about the difference between La Liga and European competition. (via Goal)
