Football leaks have revealed the true cost of Alexis Sanchez’s “free” transfer from Arsenal in exchange for Henrikh Mkhitaryan and the numbers are simply unbelievable.
At Manchester United, Alexis Sanchez earns €275,000 per week, but he will also receive a further €125,000 in image rights per week, since Manchester United ensured Champions League football next year.
However, that is far from all, as the Chilean has successfully negotiated various performance-based bonuses. Therefore, Sanchez will also bag in €75,000 for every game he starts during his stay with the Red Devils, as well as an annual €1,000,000 loyalty bonus, a further €1,000,000 if Manchester United wins the Champions League and €500,000 if United win the Premier League.
Furthermore, Sanchez will receive another €2,000,000 each season, if he records 40 goals and assists in all competitions.
This makes Sanchez one of the highest paid footballers in Europe, but does he really deserve this much money? Tell us what you think in the comments below.
