Gianluigi Buffon has revealed he will leave Juventus at the end of the season, but refused to rule out continuing his playing career elsewhere, after reportedly receiving a number of lucrative offers.

This means Buffon will play his last game for Juventus next weekend, when his side face Verona, as they wrap up another domestic double.

It was expected that Buffon would retire at the end of the season and continue his career with the Turin club in a certain boardroom role. However, the Italian revealed he still hasn’t made the decision to end his playing days, as he allegedly has numerous offers to continue playing.

“Over the next three days, full of emotion, I will, after two or three days of reflection, make a definitive decision,” he said. “I’ll try to follow whatever calls to my soul and my nature.

“On Saturday I will play a game and that is the only certainty I have. I’m having continual discussion with [Juventus president] Andrea Agnelli, who knows what is happening around me and is a counsellor I don’t want to lose.” (via Goal)

What do you think? Should Buffon retire or continue playing elsewhere?
