Having failed to secure the signing of Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez, who opted to join Manchester United, Pep Guardiola has now allegedly made Eden Hazard his top summer priority, as he looks to tempt Chelsea into selling their best player with a gigantic £100 million bid, Daily Star has revealed.

Hazard currently has two more years remaining on his current contract, but he has been long linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, as he is reportedly looking for a more stable environment to further develop his career and challenge for the Ballon D’Or in the considerable future.

Chelsea have become notorious for changing managers every two years, with a year of success followed by a year of disappointment and Hazard has grown tired of this never-ending cycle.

Although Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain still remain the favorites to sign the Belgian international if he decides to leave, Manchester City think an offer of £100 million and a £300,000-per-week contract could be enough to tempt him to join Pep Guardiola’s project in Manchester.

It remains uncertain whether the player would ever entertain the possibility of joining a direct Premier League rival, but weirder things have happened in the world of football and Hazard moving to City is a distinct possibility that cannot be ruled out easily.

What do you think? Should Manchester City sign Eden Hazard?
