The 1999 Ballon d’Or winner Rivaldo has recommended his former team Barcelona to sign Liverpool winger Mo Salah this summer in an interview he gave to Daily Mail.

Mo Salah has enjoyed a dream debut season with Liverpool, scoring 32 goals and recording 12 assists in record-breaking fashion, as he claimed to Premier League Golden Boot and led his team to 4th place in the league and the Champions League final.

His feat didn’t go unnoticed and when Rivaldo was asked which Premier League player Barcelona should sign, he duly responded with:┬áSalah. “He’s a great player. He is a game changer.” (via Daily Mail)

Rivaldo went on to say that he believed Salah could reach the heights of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, but insisted the Egyptian would need to repeat his feat for years before he can be put in the same category as Messi and Ronaldo.

“He has to keep what Ronaldo and Messi kept for 10 years – he’s very close now. He’ll face more difficulties as the Premier League is harder than the Spanish Championship.” (via Daily Mail)
